ITALY - SECONDARY SCHOOLS EUI - 16 JANUARY - 2 MARCH 2018

   

The Historical Archives have developed a programme for high schools focused on three main themes: Brexit, Migrations and Rising of nationalist movements across Europe.  Numerous meetings were held in the prestigious Villa Salviati in Florence to discuss these highly topical issues.
The meetings were attended by our members Monica Baldi, Luciana Castellina, Vitaliano Gemelli, Gisela Kallenbach, Niccolò Rinaldi, Riccardo Ventre, and Sir Graham Watson.

UNITED KINGDOM - UNIVERSITY OF MONTFORT - 23 - 25 JANUARY 2018

   

De Montfort University will organize seminars and classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Followed by open debates. The day of Europe will involve a meeting with local school children. Mr John Bowis, Mr Ben Patterson and Ms Doris Pack, former MEPs, will participate in this programme.

CYPRUS - UNIVERSITY OF LANCASHIRE - 1-2 MARCH 2018

   

The University of Lanacshire will organise a series of activities with students and a workshop, with the judiciary and academics.

CROATIA - UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB - 22-23 MARCH 2018

   

The University of Zagreb will organize guest lectures for students that are attending the course in Law of International Trade as well as guest lectures for the Bachelor Degree in Business Programme students that are attending the course in Commercial Law. Beside the lectures, the University will organise an interview for the students newspaper and a meeting with faculty management.

ESTONIA - TALLINN TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY - 27 MARCH 2018


   

The Tallinn Technology University is planning an open high-profile lecture for university students and scholars, general public, local NGOs, and, possibly, media.

ROMANIA - BABES-BOLYAI UNIVERSITY - 25-26 APRIL 2018

   

The Babes-Bolyai University is planing an event called: “The EU Foreign Policy and the Global Politics of Human Rights” which aims at enhancing BA and MA students in International Relations a knowledge in EU’s involvement within the global politics of Human Rights.

HUNGARY - UNIVERSITY OF SZEGED - 2-4 MAY 2018

   

The event is part of a series (Integration Club) organised by the University of Szeged in relation to European integration for students (undergraduate and graduate), colleagues, high school students, young graduates, press, interested public.

SLOVENIA - UNIVERSITY OF LJUBLJANA - 8-9 and 11 MAY 2018

   

The University of Ljubljana organises a lecture for BA students in the introduction to policy analysis led by prof Damjan Lajh, meetings with student associations and participation in the Europe Week round table on EU’s environmental policy.

GERMANY - EUROPA-UNIVERSITÄT FLENSBURG - 15-17 MAY 2018

   

The event will take place on three days, which will be divided into interdisciplinary round table discussions and workshops on different European Studies related topics, the award ceremony of the Europe Prize of the university, as well as interactive student initiatives all over the campus. The audience will be mainly university students and young researchers from several fields of studies: European Studies, Political Science, Management, Social Sciences, Sustainability Studies, and Teacher training with focus on a wide range of subjects.

ROMANIA - ALEXANDRU IOAN CUZA UNIVERSITY OF IASI - 18-19 MAY 2018

   

The University will organize the International Conference EURINT 2018 “Reflecting on Europe's (dis)order: new strategies for a stronger Union”. Its obejctive is to bring additional insights and also to come up with valuable ideas which could contribute to a reassessment of the European policies.

The conference will comprise lectures delivered by international academic experts, followed by round tables with stakeholders who are not necessarily involved in the academic field - policy-makers, civil society activists, and professionals - which will address specific topics on Cross-Border Cooperation.

FRANCE - UNIVERSITY CLERMONT AUVERGNE -18-22 JUNE 2018


   

The University will organize a round table and conference entitled "Models and Policies for Climate and Energy in Europe". The conference will be addressed to  scientific international experts.

UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF EUROPEAN STUDIES - 18-20 OCTOBER 2018


   

The Ukrainian European Studies Association will organize the participation of a former MEP to  take part and deliver a report at the Jean Monnet Conference “Access of Ukraine to the EU Digital Single Market” and a public lecture at the Poltava Technical University to academics, experts and students interested in EU-Ukraine relations and on the EU Digital Strategy Paper.

FINLAND - ALEKSANTERI INSTITUTE - 24-26 OCTOBER


   

The Alksanteri Institut will organize the annual Aleksanteri Conference, which aims to discuss Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Eurasia that underwent tremendous changes throughout the last century via international scholarly dialogue in a multidisciplinary comparative setting. This Conference is one of the largest conferences in its field attracting broad interest among researchers and policy-makers in a wide variety of disciplines, both in Finland and abroad.
