Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has reshaped the EU’s approach to security and defence. This conflict has underscored the urgency of strengthening European defence capabilities and the need to address emerging threats, including cyber-attacks and the disruptive influence of new technologies.
Keynote speakers and experts explored the strategic importance of space infrastructure for security, emphasizing the EU’s need to secure investments in critical sectors despite an austere economic environment. The seminar also highlighted the necessity of boosting the European defence industry.
The outcome of the U.S. elections were considered, as it will impact transatlantic security cooperation and NATO dynamics. The event served as a forum for evaluating how these global and regional factors will shape the EU’s future strategic posture and investment priorities.
