Conference – Spain- University of Oviedo – Leopoldo López Gil

We are excited to announce our upcoming event in collaboration with the University of Oviedo: “The European Pact on Migration and Asylum: Keys and Consequences”.  This event will take place on Thursday, 26th September at 12:45 p.m. and it will feature FMA member Leopoldo López Gil as the keynote speaker.

The conference is part of the Faculty of Business’s complementary activities, particularly tailored for students pursuing a degree in business, with a focus on international business within the framework of the European Union. Conducted in Spanish, this will be the Faculty’s inaugural event for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The conference will delve into key aspects of the European Pact on Migration and Asylum. Topics will include the content of the pact, the challenges faced during negotiations, how the agreement was ultimately reached, and the role of the European Parliament in this process. Additionally, the discussion will address whether the pact improves migration management or presents new challenges, with a specific focus on its implications for Spain.
