Webinar – Taiwan – Overseas Chinese University

We are pleased to share the success of the online webinar organised in collaboration with the Overseas Chinese University, Taiwan, on 29 November 2024 at 8.00am (CET).

The webinar focused on the theme ‘EU policy to support the tourism industry’, in particular exploring new opportunities to enhance tourism and cultural contacts between Taiwan and the EU in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion focused on the challenges posed by geographical distance, language barriers and limited exposure to Taiwan in Europe, and explored short-term tactical solutions and long-term strategic approaches to overcoming these obstacles.

The webinar was an opportunity to hear from speaker Lord Richard Balfe on this important issue.
